We used to do our daily morning training sessions over the ghats of Varanasi, as always lots of people roamed over ghats to see the amazing sunrise as the whole place looked mesmerizing.

We have been practicing for almost 4 hours, we were tired, some of my mates were packing their bags to go back to their homes, after some time we all were set to go back home after a great training session that morning.

As we were going back we saw 2 babas coming towards us, they were about to talk to us and then one baba asked us “MAY I RIDE YOUR BIKE” and we responded “FOR SURE” and he took our bike and he sat in the position of “SWITCHBACK RIDING”, we were surprised and all of us were curious about the baba as what is he going to do and what we saw was one of the best things we have seen in the ghats.

One old baba who was wearing orange-colored “DHOTI-GAMCHA” was doing the famous MTB Freestyle trick called SWITCHBACK RIDING. The way he was riding was probably in a professional way.

After he did one circle we all went to him and asked him “BABA, HOW DID YOU DO THAT?” he replied “BOYS I’VE BEEN RIDING LIKE THIS FROM MY TEENAGE TO IMPRESS MY VILLAGERS. I WAS WATCHING YOU ALL SINCE COUPLE OF HOURS. YOU GUYS REMINDED ME OF MY TEENAGE.” “YOU GUYS ARE DOING TREMENDOUS JOB, KEEP IT UP, THIS WILL TAKE ALL OF YOU VERY FAR.”

After hearing his story we felt that every talented person in this world needs to get exposure. In our time we have a lot of ways to get exposure but that baba didn’t get it in his time.

WE MUST RESPECT WHAT WE HAVE AND ALWAYS BE THANKFUL FOR WHAT WE HAVE GOT.
